What does it really mean to follow Jesus? In Luke 9, Jesus reveals that discipleship is more than believing the right things about him, it means denying ourselves, taking up our cross daily, and following him wherever he leads. The way of Jesus is a road of surrender, sacrifice, and dependence upon the Father, but it ultimately leads to life. Discover what it means to see Jesus clearly, surrender to his way, and follow him all the way.

In Luke 7:36-50, Jesus asks Simon a question that still confronts us today: “Do you see this woman?” This story reminds us that when we see Jesus accurately, we begin to see ourselves accurately and then we begin to see and love others differently.

Jesus didn’t come to start something completely new; he came to fulfill the promises God made throughout the Old Testament. In his hometown, Jesus makes it clear that God’s grace is bigger than the boundaries we draw, and his good news is meant to reach people we might never expect. Jesus came to bring good news, freedom, and restoration; and his grace is for people we might not expect, including people like us.
